ABOUT
TSSI
Test Systems Strategies Incorporated (TSSI) is a leader in design-to-test vector translation and validation software solutions based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the USA.

Founded in 1979, TSSI continues to command the largest installed base in the vector translation and validation markets. Design and test teams of all sizes use our advanced methodologies to save time, cut costs, and dramatically decrease time to market.

One of TSSI's major contributions includes the invention of the Waveform Generation Language (WGL), the de-facto standard for ATPG (automatic test pattern generation) and tester interface.

Our technical team was also part of the original core members to define and facilitate the standardization of the IEEE 1450.0-1999 STIL standard. This TSSI technical team co-authored the first STIL "yellow" book: "Elements of STIL - Principles and Applications of IEEE Std. 1450".

TSSI provides innovative products and premier services for converting functional and structural simulation data from EDA (electronic design automation) output formats to the broadest line up of ATE (automatic test equipment) program files on the market.
Our revolutionary virtual test technologies offer design and test teams time and cost savings in pre- and post-silicon test program verification, debugging, and failure analysis.
Management
Hau Lam | CEO
With over 30 years in the semiconductor testing industry, Hau has held management roles in marketing, business development, and engineering at Test Systems Strategies, Inc. (TSSI), Credence Systems Corporation/Integrated Measurement Systems (IMS)/Fluence Technologies/Summit Design/TSSI, OrCAD, Tektronix, Cadic, and Floating Point Systems. Hau holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from the University of Utah, and a master of business administration from City University of Bellevue Washington. Hau did post-graduate studies from Harvard Business School.
Dave Karpenske, Ph.D. | Sr Vice President - Sales & Marketing
Dave has over 30 years experience in senior management roles in both domestic and international sales, marketing, operations and business development. Dave's background includes running divisions with annual revenues of over $500M in sales, product group P&L's of over $400M and engineering budgets exceeding $80M. Prior to joining TSSI Dave was the Sr. VP & GM at Credence Systems. He joined Credence in 2003 after spending 25 years with Schlumberger where his last position with them was President of North and Central America in which he was responsible for their businesses in Telecommunications, Semiconductor Equipment, Smart Cards and IT Outsourcing. Dave did his undergraduate EE work at California Polytechnic University and his graduate studies in marketing at Stanford University.
Adam Osseiran, Ph.D. | General Manager - Service Division
Adam has over 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry. Academically, Adam joined the School of Engineering at Edith Cowan University in 2002. He is an Associate Professor and Director of the National Networked TeleTest Facility for Integrated Systems. From 1999 to 2001 he was the European Technical Manager for the U.S. based Opmaxx Inc. and later for Fluence Technology. He then became the European Technical Director at Integrated Measurement Systems (IMS), an Oregon based company specialised in the Design for Test and Built-In Self-Test techniques for Integrated Circuits. From 1995 to 1999, Adam was a Professor at the Engineering Institute of Geneva-Switzerland where he initiated the microelectronics laboratory and launched several development projects between the institute and the local R&D institutes and industry including CERN and major European electronic manufacturers. From 1987 to 1995, he was with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne, EPFL, responsible for the microelectronic Design and Test Centre with state-of-the-art tools and material. During this period, Adam also organised many seminars and tutorials for the Swiss industry in various technical fields related to microelectronics. From 2000 to 2005, Adam was the Chair of the International Working Group of the IEEE Std 1149.4 Mixed-Signal Test Bus Standard. Adam's major research interests include: microelectronics design; Design for Testability; Integrated Circuit testing; Embedded Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks and sensor systems.
