TSSI and North China University of Technology Collaborate to Support Customers and Electronic Design-to-Test Education

SHANGHAI, China, March 18, 2008 -- SEMICON CHINA -- Test Systems Strategies, Inc. (TSSI), a leading innovator in design-to-test pattern conversion and validation solutions, announced today the grand opening of the TSSI Asia Training Center located in Beijing, China.  TSSI and the North China University of Technology (NCUT) have signed a multi-year agreement to support the emerging design and test market for both China and the Southeast Asia regions.  The collaboration is also to develop and deliver microelectronic design and test courses on NCUT campus.

"TSSI software products and services have been used in China for over 10 years," said Hau Lam, TSSI's CEO.  "The 500 and growing number of Chinese design centers are looking to standardize their design-to-test methodologies for higher effeciency in interfacing with their assembly and test partners, for faster time-to-market, and hence, for lower overall cost in product cycles.  Engineering teams are begining to seek robust, high performance design-to-test tools and services.  This investment cycle requires their solution provider to have both local and global support, as well as long-term education system in place for the increasing demand of design-and-test trained talents."

"We are very pleased to have TSSI as our partner in not only advanced technology innovation, but additionally in academic leadership," said North China University of Technology President, Dr. Wang Xiaochun.  "The TSSI Asia Training Center will provide training for TSSI's leading edge products and services to China's fast growing semiconductor industry, as well as a real life application environment for many graduate students and Ph.D. candidates in their thesis research.  The use of TSSI's pattern conversion technologies and test validation solutions in a regular educational curriculum here is a first at the university."

The TSSI Asia Training Center is already scheduled to fulfill existing training backlog for the region for the next three months supporting all leading electronic design automation tools (EDA) and all different automatic test equipment platforms (ATE).  Class schedules for the general public will be announced during the second half of 2008.
